Who we are
This site is operated by Teemu Uusitalo, contact productkata@gmail.com. We are the data controller for the personal data described here.
What we collect and why
- Newsletter — if you subscribe, we collect your email address to send the monthly Product Kata email. Basis: consent (withdraw any time via the unsubscribe link).
- Enquiries and benchmark requests — if you submit a form, we collect the details you provide (name, company, email, and your message) to respond and, where relevant, discuss working together. Basis: consent / steps prior to a contract.
- Analytics — we use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used (pages viewed, approximate location, device/browser, referring source). This uses cookies and is only active after you accept in the cookie banner. Basis: consent.
- Server logs — our host may process standard technical logs (IP, request data) to run and secure the site. Basis: legitimate interest.
Who processes it (our sub-processors)
- HubSpot — forms, contact storage, newsletter delivery.
- Google (Analytics) — usage analytics.
- Hostinger — website hosting.
Some of these are outside the EU/EEA, e.g. the US; where so, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses / the providers’ data-processing terms — ⟨confirm each provider’s current mechanism⟩.
How long we keep it
Newsletter data until you unsubscribe; enquiry data for as long as needed to handle your request and any resulting relationship; analytics per Google’s retention settings.
Your rights (GDPR)
You can request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, and object to processing, and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these, contact productkata@gmail.com. You may also complain to the Finnish Data Protection Officer (Tietosuojavaltuutettu).
